Learning in Groups

I think the activity that we did Monday in class (03/21/2011), with the groups. I liked that we paired up with different classmates instead of working with the classmates that we sit by everyday. In the groups, we were handed out worksheets with improper fraction problems on them. I did not understand the homework at all the night before. However, when I got through with  the group activity I knew how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide the improper fractions. It helped hearing from a classmate  how to work the improper fraction problems.  My group really did participate and help me out where I was struggling on the problems. I believe this is an activity that I will do with my class in my future teaching career.
